Shibori is the Japanese art of shaped resist dyeing. Textiles are compressed by binding, wrapping, stitching and folding techniques that create a resist when dyed, then dipped in an indigo vat. While each piece is similarly wrapped, all are unique due to the hand tied and hand dyed process.
